The Kent River is a river in the Great Southern of Western Australia.

The headwaters of the river rise near Tenterden then flows in a south westerly direction crosses the Muirs Highway east of Rocky Gully then through Mount Roe-Mount Lindesay National Park then crosses the South Coast Highway near Kenton then flows through the Owingup Nature Reserve through the swampland and finally discharges into the eastern side of the Irwin Inlet.

There are two tributaries to the Kent; Styx River and Nile Creek.

The river was named in 1829 by Thomas Wilson who was the first European to discover the river. He named the river after another member of his exploration party John Kent.
